:: ICAEL
The Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (or ICAEL) is an agency that reviews the policies and practices of echo labs around the world to ensure they meet the highest standards of quality and patient care.  It is recognized as the foremost authority in diagnostic imaging when it comes to credentialing.  ICAEL accreditation is a voluntary credential bestowed upon laboratories that successfully complete the arduous application process.

To become an ICAEL accredited laboratory, a provider must complete a rigorous evaluation process where every aspect of the company’s service, quality assurance, and patient care are scrutinized.  ICAEL representatives review policies and sample studies to ensure that a candidate has the strongest commitment to quality patient care.  Through a combination of submitted work, site visits, and ongoing evaluations, ICAEL verifies that only the labs with the highest standards can attain and maintain accreditation status.

ICAEL has become such a well noted institution in the diagnostic imaging industry, that many insurance providers including Medicare and United Healthcare now recognize an ICAEL accreditation as a standard of excellence in the field.  They have gone so far as to tie reimbursement on many diagnostic studies to lab accreditation.

iCardio has chosen to voluntarily participate in this accreditation process.  By holding ourselves to the ICAEL standards, iCardio is committed to providing the highest level of customer service and patient care in the industry.  This not only reassures our customers that they will have no reimbursement issues when choosing iCardio, but that their patients are receiving the best care possible in a mobile diagnostic imaging service.
